The Northeast Ohio Group of the Sierra Club is ramping up for
summer fun and activism, and we have several projects looking for
volunteers!
Education/Outreach: We
have booths at several events over the summer season, including
nature festivals and community fairs.
We always
can use extra volunteers at these events, so if you would like
to be on the volunteer update list, please email me, Josh
Prager.
Fundraising: All of the great
work we do here at the Northeast Ohio Group of the Sierra Club
is made possible through donations.
If you can’t write us a check, please consider volunteering
with our Fundraising Committee to help us raise funds. You can

McKenna.
Political: Over the next few
months we will be hosting several training and lobby days. To make
sure you are updated about our
upcoming Grassroots Organizing Training or our Lobbying (Letter
writing and Visiting Representatives) Training, or are interesting
in helping us to lobby your representatives for environmental causes,
please email
me.
We have active committees and campaigns continually, so if you
have a specific interest, or you just want to help but aren’t

The City of Cleveland's 
Do you know of a local environmental issue in need
of attention? Do you have inside information on what's
going on in your city or township? With over 5,000
members in Northeast Ohio we count on you to be the
Club's eyes and ears of the region. While the Federal
government and large corporations continue to wreak
havoc on our environment, it is more important than
ever before to act as watchdogs in our own backyards.
For those new to
calling state or federal representatives, it's easier and
less confrontational than it sounds. You will never
speak directly with your rep or senator - an aide
will answer the phone, take brief notes plus your name and city (sometimes), and that's it.
