I hope everyone is having a healthy, happy summer despite the doom
and gloom of climate change. Feel good about the fact that you’re
in an organization that is doing everything conceivably possible
to stabilize the climate. You might feel even better if you made the
move
to become more involved.
Ask yourself this question: Which environmental issue most interests
me? Is it Agriculture, Climate Change, Wildlife/Endangered Species,
Environmental Justice,
Human Health & Environment, Public Lands, Population, Rainforest, Recycling,
Water Quality, or Wetlands?
Once you’ve decided, then attend our Conservation
Committee meetings to
hear about each sub-committee's endeavors and sign on to "GET
ACTIVE" with
the one nearest & dearest your heart. Contact your Conservation Committee chairs for more information:
Dennis
Plank: 216-939-8229
Michael
Melampy: 440-826-2263
Another opportunity for involvement is our open Secretary position.
If you'd like to be more active in the group (and build your
resume!) by becoming our
new Secretary, contact Pat
McKenna at (248) 505-3550. Responsibilities
include responding to phone calls, taking minutes, and keeping track
of supplies.
