Transportation Choices Campaign
rail
Rail is different from all other forms of transportation because of the unique opportunity which currently exists. Cincinnati has always been the gateway to the South for rail transportation. With a long history of rail implementation and innovation, Cincinnati has a chance to once again achieve greatness with rail. The rail component of the transportation choices campaign has three broad areas:

- Passenger rail
- Light Rail Transit
- Freight
Are you are familiar with the term 3C? It stands for Cincinnati, Columbus, and Cleveland. Okay, there are other cities that are linked but the name would not be as cool as 3C. If you want to ride a train to Columbus or Cleveland before 2010, call or write to the Ohio Governor now. Tell him we can not economically and environmentally afford to wait another year. This should have been done back in the 1970's.
Light Rail Transit has been in the planning stages for a decade in the tri-state area. Recently the idea has been picking up momentum as plans are reworked to assure our community of a cost-effective system. Clean, quiet, and comfortable, electric powered Light Rail Transit is an attractive alternative to rush hour gridlock that is increasingly common on our roadways.
