Outings Committee
Upcoming outings are posted on our Calendar, be sure to check it to see what outings are planned.
Sierra Club outings are primarily for club members, but others are welcome if space is available and if the leader is satisfied that the participant's skills and/or strength are sufficient for the planned event. If you make a reservation, you are expected to arrive promptly or notify the leader in advance if you are unable to attend. Don't leave others waiting for you!
Normally, unless the leader knows their capacities, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. If you have any question about whether a particular outing is suitable for your kids, talk with the leader ahead of time
The club normally does not have equipment to borrow or rent, and does not provide transportation to the starting point. However, for distant outings, car pools are often arranged. Check with the leader.
- Please be considerate and call leaders before 9:30 P.M.
- Ratings (1-easy to 4-strenuous) indicate how much skill and/or endurance is required.
- The Miami Group of the Sierra Club is dedicated to providing the safest possible bike outings. All riders must wear ANSI-approved bicycle helmets and obey state traffic laws.
