Promote Energy Efficiency in Ohio, Take Action Today!

Write a letter to Governor Strickland and Alan Schriber, Chairman of the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio, to encourage an energy efficiency standard for Ohio.

Dear Governor Strickland:

Now is the time for Ohio to invest in a smart energy future.  Energy efficiency is the cleanest, cheapest and fastest way to meet our electricity needs.  By planning intelligently and using existing technology, we can cut our electricity consumption and create jobs in Ohio as other states have done.

Improving energy efficiency lowers energy bills, eliminates the need for new power plants, increases our energy security and keeps our environment clean.  Energy efficiency is Ohio’s frontline defense against rising energy costs.

I urge you to support an energy efficiency resource standard for Ohio that results in reduction of energy consumption by at least 2% per year.
