Ohio’s Special Places: A Guide of Our Forests’ Best Areas to Recreate
Nomination Form
Deadline: September 1, 2003
Calling all nominations! As part of Sierra Club’s Campaign to Protect Ohio’s Forests
we will create a guide of Ohio’s most special places. This guide will include five to
ten of the best areas to recreate in Ohio’s state and national forests. However we
can’t do this without your help! Please nominate a trail, river, fishing stream, or
area in a state forest or the Wayne National Forest that you deem worthy of this
recognition. Recreational opportunities chosen for this guide will assist in preserving
and restoring the benefits and natural function of healthy forests, which includes
promoting species and habitat diversity. By highlighting these areas and recreational
opportunities we hope to encourage Ohioans to explore, enjoy, and protect these special
places. Please distribute this form far and wide but don’t delay…the deadline is
September 1, 2003. Thank you for your assistance.

Please submit your nominations by September 1, 2003 to Bryan Clark, Conservation Program
Coordinator, 36 West Gay Street, Suite 314, Columbus, Ohio 43215 or
