Donate Office/School/Art Supplies to the Waste Not Center

By

The Waste Not Center (WNC) receives donations from individuals and businesses of art/school/office supplies that would otherwise be discarded and makes them available to teachers, artists and non-profit organizations at no charge other than a small annual membership fee for those using the items.

The Waste Not Center now has 9 neighborhood drop-offs where you can leave a grocery bag or two of art/school/office supplies for donation.  Locations include the Whetstone Community Center, 3923 N. High St.; Greenovate, 9 E. Second Ave.; Indianola Church of Christ, 2141 Indianola Ave.; Generation Green, 6375 Sawmill Rd. in Dublin; and WattWorks, 1078 Goodale Blvd. Each location has a 55-gallon fiber drum with the Waste Not Center logo and a list of the kinds of things we need.  Please let your friends and work associates know about this.  We are finding that almost everyone has accumulated school/office supplies in their homes that they would like to get rid of in some way other than sending them to the landfill.

For more information on the Waste Not Center, a complete list of materials needed and dropoff locations, or how to qualify for these materials if you are an artist or teacher, visit www.wastenotcenter.org.
