Global Day of Action on Climate Change

By

On December 6, Greenpeace and the Sierra Club organized a demonstration at the Ohio Statehouse in conjunction with the Global Day of Action on Climate Change. About 120 people attended the event. Greenpeace and other volunteers in 92 countries organized a series of outreach events to tell ministers arriving Poland for the crucial United Nations climate negotiations that the world is watching them. It is imperative that the delegates listen to the will of their citizens and get serious about climate action. Similar activities took place in 20 cities around the US, including Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Wash. DC and New York. Photos and videos of the actions were sent to Poland. In the US the message “Yes We Can Save the Climate” was sent to members of the new administration.
