Congratulations and thanks to Executive Committee members elected last December—Bob Bostard, Melanie Braithwaite, Dave Hornyak, Barbara Hykes and Morgen Kuberek. Morgen and Bob are new to the ExCom. We welcome these dedicated and talented volunteers to Sierra Club leadership! ExCom bids farewell to Bill Myers, who continues with Sierra Club leadership as assistant secretary to the ExCom and secretary for the Conservation Committee. Continuing the second year of their 2-year term on ExCom are Laura Armstrong, Cliff Boggs, Melanie Braithwaite, Doug Calem, Tad Dritz, and Bob Kyle.

Officers for 2008 were chosen at the ExCom meeting in January. We heartily welcome Barb Hykes as our new COG Chair! Barb comes to us with a wealth of community organizing experience. Kelli Drummer-Avendaño, 2007 chair, will be the vice chair for 2008 and is our new monthly program coordinator. A hearty thanks to Kelli for the energy and enthusiasm she brought to her position as chair as she continues in these new leadership positions. Doug Calem will be serving as our new secretary, and Dave Hornyak will continue as treasurer. New to other leadership positions are Melanie Braithwaite, Representative to Ohio Chapter; Morgen Kuberek, Publications Chair and John Fiske, Outings Chair. We extend many thanks to Ken Johnsen who served as publications chair for as long as anyone can remember, to Pat Marida who has served as monthly program coordinator since 1999, and to Dave Dorsky who has been our fantastic Outings Chair for the past 2 years.
