I just want to thank all of our members and volunteers for making 2007 a very productive year. We had many successful events and programs, as well as a great year for our outings!

I want to give a special thank-you to the outgoing Outings Chair, Dave Dorsky. He reports that "the Sunday outings have seen a tremendous growth in diversity of hikes offered. Our hikes again included a vast area that encompasses trails from Mohican Forest down to Great Seal and John Bryan parks.

This diversity is also matched by the variable length of hikes, ranging from 3 to 12 miles. This wide range allows us to attract more participants with greater variations in hiking abilities as well as interests." Thank you for your hard work, Dave, and thanks to all of the volunteers who lead the hikes.

I also want to thank Pat Marida for organizing all the programs this past year and Ken Johnsen and Shirley Nienkark for doing an outstanding job with calendar sales. 2008 is sure to be another productive year for the Group, but only with your help and involvement, so I hope to see you out there!
